Contractor/Consultant sought to develop a Conservation Strategy and Landowners' Conservation Guidance Notes for the historic landscapes of the Clyde and Avon landscape partnership area (CAVLP) (2017-18) and the Falkirk Council area (2018-19) 

Scotland's Garden and Landscape Heritage (SGLH) is seeking applications for a contract to initiate and manage an innovative and exciting, two-phase project. 

The purpose of the project is to develop for publication a Conservation Strategy and Conservation Guidance Notes for Landowners. It will cover the CAVLP and Falkirk Council areas commencing October 2017. This project represents the second stage of a pilot project ('Glorious Gardens') launched by SGLH in both areas in 2014.

A key element will be the recruitment of volunteers and the provision of appropriate training to become actively involved in the development of the Conservation Strategy and the Conservation Guidance Notes for Landowners. 

Volunteers will be drawn from local stakeholders, including community councils, heritage groups, local specialists and residents within the local authority area. Funding is being provided both by Historic Environment Scotland and by the Heritage Lottery Fund through CAVLP. Phase 1 of the project will run from 1 October 2017 to 31 March 2018, and Phase 2 from 1 March 2018 to 31 March 2019.
