The Rural Development Trust wishes to commission an Active Travel Campaign for nine rural school communities throughout South Lanarkshire. This campaign is one part of Make Your Way, a project supported by South Lanarkshire Council and Paths for All Smarter Choices Smarter Places (SCSP) fund. This project will run concurrently with a Schools Active Travel programme for the same communities, with the aim of cross participation.

With walking and cycling becoming an ever more important part of efforts to become more sustainable and environmentally responsible, and a wealth of history and countryside on the doorstep of these communities, this project will identify and share heritage and local interest points along potential/existing walking and cycling routes which could be better used, mapped and waymarked, encouraging local active travel.
