Clyde and Avon Valley Landscape Partnership Shortlisted for Third Sector Awards
The Clyde and Avon Valley Landscape Partnership has made the shortlist for the South Lanarkshire Third Sector Awards. The Partnership would like to extend a huge vote of thanks to all volunteers who work to ensure the success of projects and to all Partner organisations delivering projects as part of this programme. They really are the key to CAVLP’s success.
At the heart of this programme is the aim to conserve, restore and enhance the cultural and landscape heritage of the Clyde and Avon Valleys and being shortlisted for these awards recognises the hard work of everyone involved, and what can be achieved by working together in partnership.
The South Lanarkshire Third Sector Awards recognise the varied, vital and inclusive work carried out by the third sector in the area on a daily basis. A team of independent judges has assessed the nominations and shortlisted a range of organisations. All those shortlisted will be invited to attend an awards ceremony later this month where the lucky winners will be announced.
Commenting on the awards, Donna Marshall, Programme Manager at the Clyde and Avon Valley Landscape Partnership said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted in the South Lanarkshire Third Sector Awards. This success highlights the high calibre of projects being managed and delivered in the area by our key Partners, our small staff team and our team of dedicated volunteers supporting projects with tasks such as research, surveying, recording, vegetation clearance and woodland management. We would also like to acknowledge the other fantastic third sector organisations in South Lanarkshire, the incredible work they do, and the support these organisations to give back to their communities”
The Clyde and Avon Valley Landscape Partnership has been shortlisted in the awards in both the ‘Active organisation and project’ category and the ‘Arts, Culture or Heritage organisation or project’ category.
The award ceremony will take place on Wednesday 23rd November at the Radstone Hotel near Larkhall. Eight awards will be given to reward deserving volunteer-involving agencies, third sector organisations, social enterprises and other partners and individuals who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to supporting communities and the voluntary sector in South Lanarkshire.
