Clearburn Natural Play Area Needs You!
New Lanark World Heritage Site was recently ranked as one of the Top 20 Visitor Attractions in Scotland 2014 by ASVA (Association of Scottish Visitor Attractions) and now it is your chance to get involved with the unique & historical site, including Clearburn Natural Play and Picnic Area.
New Lanark Trust is looking for individuals to volunteer in a number of interesting roles that will utilise a wide range of skills and help build experience – as well as being great fun!
Whether you’re 16 or 60, there will be a suitable volunteering role for you at New Lanark. Hours are very flexible and can be tailored to your abilities and schedule.
There are a diverse range of volunteer roles available within:
- Garden & Playpark – Help us maintain Clearburn, the Roof Garden & the War Memorial Garden.
- Events & Exhibitions – Contribute to the successful running of our events like Stargazing LIVE!
- Crafts - Get involved with craft workshops and educational activities.
- Archive – Help prepare our exhibitions and research & catalogue our fascinating collection.
New Lanark has already shown it is ‘Volunteer Friendly’ after gaining an Award from VASLAN (Voluntary Action South Lanarkshire) in 2014 for its work with the sites dedicated team of ‘Search Room’ Archive volunteers.
A team of 30 volunteers also contributed to the fantastic success of the Great Tapestry of Scotland exhibition at New Lanark which drew over 13,000 visitors to the site.
