Join CCI for some hands on improvement work at The Three Stanes (Standing Stones) in Glassford on the 6th and 7th of June. The work will focus on a short strip of woodland along Tapped Hill, close to the entrance of the Three Stanes. This woodland is a vital link in improving access along the 'Love and Landscape' Trail as highlighted through the Make Your Way project.

Light work is required to clear a number of overgrown trees and complete other general improvement works surrounding existing fencing, access points, and installation of new stiles.

Meet at Glassford Village Hall. Please arrive for 10.30am, expect finish time is around 2pm. This applies to both days, although days and times may be subject to change, please check upon booking.

All tools will be provided. Please wear weather appropriate clothing.

The Make Your Way project aims to encourage local people to walk and cycle more whilst exploring the rich heritage of their local area and is focussed on the communities of Larkhall, Lanark, Carluke, Stonehouse and Glassford. The project is due to culminate in May 2017 with the production of a series of new physical and digital maps as well as artwork installations along the defined routes.

The project is being delivered by icecream architecture, a people focussed art and design company, and SYSTRA, a sustainable travel consultancy. It has been funded by Smarter Choices, Smarter Places grant and is part of the Heritage Lottery Fund supported Clyde and Avon Valley Landscape Partnership scheme.
