Life in the Cadzow Oaks Guided Walk
Chatelherault Country Park
During 2017 the Cadzow Oaks are being surveyed for their invertebrates by staff and volunteers from the Hunterian Museum entomology department. Come along and find out more about this work, as well as walking around the famous Oaks.
The site of these ancient oaks are protected due to the importance of the woodland, and for the presence of beetles associated with their dead wood. The site was surveyed over 50 years ago - this up to date survey information will help to inform conservation management of the area.
Dress for the weather with suitable footwear.
This project is supported by the Clyde and Avon Valleys Landscape Partnership and Glasgow Natural History Society.
THIS EVENT IS REPEATED ON THURSDAY 13 AUGUST, 10.30-12
