Join us on a Family Cycle Ride of 5 miles almost completely on traffic free paths. We start from the Watersports Centre at Strathclyde Park and make our way on the path round the loch to the west entrance. (M&D's, Holiday Inn Express). We then cycle over the two bridges on the new cycle path over the Expressway and join up with National Cycle Route 74 after crossing Bothwell Bridge. We travel back towards Hamilton on the traffic free path on Bothwell Road and drop down The Furlongs into Low Parks taking the path which passes the Mausoleum. We then cross out of Low Parks and over our final bridge to reach the Watersports Centre again.

For those who still have the energy, there will be an option to extend the ride by another 4 miles once we get back to the Watersports Centre, by cycling round the loch in an anti-clockwise direction.

The ride is organised by the Lanarkshire Sustrans Volunteer Group and will be led and supervised by qualified Ride Leaders at all times.

There are no refreshments stops during the ride so it is advised that you bring snacks and water with you. There will be an opportunity for refreshments at the Watersports centre Cafe on our return.
