Public transport:

Train: 2 every hour from Glasgow Central or Motherwell to Lanark (1.5 miles from New Lanark). Local buses and taxis at the bus stance adjacent to Lanark Railway Station. Local bus times are available from Stuart’s Coaches on 01555 773 533 or check www.travellinescotland.com.

By foot: You can walk downhill to New Lanark from Lanark train and bus station in around 20 minutes by following the brown signs.

Parking: Parking is available at New Lanark World Heritage Site: postcode ML11 9BY. Families should walk down into the village and follow signs for Clearburn to the left of the New Lanark Institute Visitor Centre, along the mill lade.
