Meet Aberdeen Angus cattle, Tamworth pigs, Ayrshire cows, Blackface sheep and Clydesdale horses on the farm, then tour the Georgian farmhouse for a sense of what life on a farm was really like more than 50 years ago. In the purpose-built museum, discover how 300 years of farming and rural home life have shaped and altered Scotland’s countryside.
You can also explore the work which took place in each season, from ploughing fields to sowing seeds, and hay making to harvesting and take part in special events throughout the year to celebrate nature, country crafts and traditions. Each season brings something new to see, from new-born lambs and calves to harvesting and haymaking.
Open daily, the museum is also home to a gift shop and country café serving hot and cold snacks, teas, coffees and fresh home baking.
